Alongside my research I’ve worked with deep-tech companies, helping them build, improve, troubleshoot and scale up both medical and non-medical instrumentation, sensors and smart systems.

Areas of expertise

Wearable and biomedical sensors — analog front-ends for EDA, PPG, EMG, ECG, and motion sensing, including custom designs where no standard front-end exists yet.

Instrumentation and systems — automated test and measurement rigs, sensor characterisation, embedded firmware, wireless data acquisition, PCB design including 4-layer and flex.

E-textile integration — connectors, electrode design, and the supply chain for scalable garment manufacturing.

How I work

Advisory and review — shorter engagements on technical challenges or specialized questions. Examples: sensor selection, ergonomics, feasibility assessment, systems optimization.

Full project development — I take a problem from requirement to working, characterised system: hardware, firmware, interface, and the documentation needed to reproduce it.

Specialist developer — I join an existing team and work on a specific piece, such as the analog front-end, validation setup, sensor characterisation, etc. You keep the project; I solve the part that needs depth.

Technical lead — I direct a team of engineers on your behalf, set the technical direction, and may assist with hands-on testing.
